When launching the DigUp installer on Windows, the system may show a prompt stating that it does not recognize the app. This prompt can appear because the current beta release executable has not been digitally signed.
Why Windows Shows the Alert
DigUp for Windows is currently in beta (version 0.7.0-beta.1). Because the developer has not yet signed the installer package, Windows may flag the executable as unrecognized. The operating system does not show this message on every machine, but when it does appear, setup can still continue.
DigUp runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The setup program installs only for your current user profile. It does not ask for or require administrator rights on your computer.
After setup completes, DigUp runs an initial 865 MB model download while you choose which folders to search. The shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Space opens the search window from any app.
